what to expect
You finish a days work and tell your pooch whether its been a good day or you unload to them... meanwhile your Pooch has so much fun he wants to tell you about his new bestie, the number of zoomies they did, his favourite toy that he shares with Bruce, when he went to the beach and there were so many birds to chase away... maybe they will just snooze and dream about this and you can look at all the pics and vids from the day while they dream pedal. Sounds better than them waiting at the window for you and telling the postman off.
Daycare days are full of adventure. Although a structure for rest and individual needs are followed, all walk locations vary dependent on the group and the weather. Sunny days are beach days and a paddle with an iced kong. Wet days (the other 300 days a year) are as much fun. Forest, hill walk, enrichment games and play, zoomies, snoozies and a heated bed.
Daycare hours will be as a flexible as possible from 7.30am for drop offs at Pooch Pods. (Specific times to be arranged prior to booking).
Pooch Pods is located behind our family home, all visitors booked by appointment only.
All dogs will be invited to attend a taster session. This session will be 2 hours long and be booked during a time when all boarding dogs have been exercised and fed etc.
Any current dogs that may have behavioural issues, (for example, lead reactive dogs) will be separated for the initial meeting.
This time will be used to introduce them to the space, the other dogs and to make a full assessment of their needs.
This session will be followed up with honest feedback and will either require a further taster session which will take place on a group walk or this will lead to a booking.
A minimum of 2 days a week will be required for any booking to retain their place. The importance of this is to maintain good social behaviour and familiarity with other dogs in the pack.
Like human’s, dogs respond well to a structured regular routine.
Please be aware that the number of dogs boarding rises during half term/ bank holidays and summer holidays so please book your regular days in advance and inform us if you do not require daycare during school/ national holidays.
